Walk for Health 2018


Walk for Health is back this year and is taking place on 4th Feb in Mumbai ; 11th Feb in Bangalore; 18th Feb in Delhi. This year will be bigger and better and will again see participation from a host of celebrities, cartoon characters and thousands of people with their friends and families. The event will be covered on Times Now. This year, we are introducing a new category in Delhi & Mumbai – A timed and competitive 7 km Power Walk.


Why has the walk been postponed?

The walk, which was earlier scheduled for Nov/Dec, has been postponed due to extreme pollutions levels in metro cities. Max Bupa being a health insurance company is keeping the health of participants as their top priority.


I registered for the paid Power Walk on earlier dates. What happens to the money I have paid?

You will get an option of getting the same ticket transferred to the new date or getting it cancelled. In case of cancellation, Book My Show will refund your money within 5-6 working days. You will get a call / SMS regarding this from The Times of India and Book My Show as they are our partners.


I registered for the 2k / 5k walk on earlier dates. Do I need to register on Book My Show again for the new date?

No. You can use the same ticket to register at the venue on the new event date.


Date and Timings of Walk for Health 2018

The Event is going to take place on 4th Feb in Mumbai ; 11th Feb in Bangalore; 18th Feb in Delhi.

  • Mumbai:Power Walk Reporting at 5 am. Power Walk Flag Off at 6 am.2km and 5 km Reporting at 6:30 am.2km and 5km Flag Off at 7:30 am
  • Delhi:Power Walk Reporting at 5:30 am. Power Walk Flag Off at 6:30 am.2km and 5km Reporting at 6:30 am.2km and 5km Flag Off at 7:45 am
  • Bengaluru: Reporting Time at 6:30 am. 2km and 5km Flag Off at 7:30 am

You can reach the venue and do On-the-Spot registration also for free (for 2km and 5 km category). However, we would recommend that you register online first for your convenience. There is no On-the Spot registration for the Power Walk category.

All participants are expected to have the Book My Show QR code handy for faster BIB collection.

How long is the Walk?

There are three categories of Walk:

  • 7 km Power Walk (competitive and timed) for fitness enthusiasts and regular walkers
  • 5 km for regular people
  • 2 km for children and senior citizens.

What is the new Power Walk category?

A Power Walk is a form of brisk walking. Max Bupa is introducing competitive power walking for the first time in India at such a large scale. This category will be a 7km competitive and timed walk. We have also planned pre-event physical and digital training for this category, details of which will be sent to all registered Power Walk participants. The Rules for the same will also be sent to all registered Power Walk participants.


Is there any registration fees?

The 7 km Power Walk will have a registration fee as mentioned on Book My Show registration page (the fee would include a t-shirt and timing chip).Registration is absolutely free for the 2 km and 5km walks. So get ready and get your friends and family along for an exciting and fun-filled Sunday.


When will the training start for Power Walk?

You will get a link to fill in your details shortly after your registration. After filling the details you will receive a personalised diet chart and exercise plan. Physical training camps will start 3-4 weeks prior to the event date. The schedule for physical training camps will be communicated to you through mail and also the Max Bupa Facebook page.


What all entertainment will be there apart from the Walk?

There are various things packed for an entertaining morning for your entire family.

Free parking facility is available at the venue.

Will there be health check-ups at the venue of the Walk?

Yes, health check-ups would be available for basic tests like BP, sugar etc. These would be on first come first serve basis; no prior appointments can be taken.
